
Terms and Conditions
The terms and conditions set out herein should be read carefully as they constitute a legally binding agreement between the parties and by signing Alpha Meridian Colleges Limited application for enrolment, the applicant and or their representative agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Enrolment
An application will only be processed upon receipt of a course deposit of £250 that is made up of £150 administration and registration fee and an initial course deposit of £100. The course deposit will be counted towards your course fees. For students that are already in the United Kingdom, course fees are required to be paid in full before course commencement date.If an application is accepted by Alpha Meridian Colleges Limited, it will be followed by the issue of a letter of acceptance confirming the applicant's eligibility for the course applied for. In order to reserve a place on the course the letter will request either:
- Full payment of course fees within 21 days from the date on the letter of acceptance, or
- 50% part payment of the required total course fee to be made within 21 days from the date on the letter of acceptance
Details on how payment is to be made will be included.
Once the relevant payment has been received you are deemed to be registered as a student. Alpha Meridian Colleges Limited will issue you with either a letter of unconditional offer if you have paid your fees in full, which is strongly recommended, otherwise you will be issued with a letter of conditional offer. Letters of offer may be used by visa nationals who are required to make an application to the overseas British Embassy or Consular for a student entry visa to the United Kingdom.
If no payment is forthcoming by the date contained in the letter of acceptance to you, subject to availability, your place will be at risk and may be withdrawn and offered to another applicant.
Payments
All course fees must be received by Alpha Meridian Colleges Limited at least 14 days prior to your course start date or 21 days from the date of the letter of acceptance. Payment of fees for late enrolments (less than 14 days prior to start date) must be made without delay at the time of application for enrolment, otherwise a place can not be guaranteed.Payment may be made by:
- banker's draft or cheque
- bank transfer in UK £ sterling
- cash in person in the school office
- credit card (Visa, Master, Solo, JCB or Streamline)

Please note charges incurred by the college's and senders banks will be borne by the sender of funds.
Please include the following when making payment:
- student's full name
- invoice number
- proof of any transfer document
All fees quoted include VAT (where applicable)
Accommodation
Where there is a request for homestay, self-catering or other accommodation services, you will be informed by letter/invoice as to the required deposit necessary before a booking can be made. The deposit amount required is published on the college's website, fees list and other publicity material. You will normally be required to pay one week's deposit to reserve your accommodation. Only upon receipt of your deposit will the college's Accommodation Officer make the required arrangements.The college will do its best to ensure that any preferences made by the student in respect of their accommodation, dietary or other requirements are fulfilled. This is something that cannot be guaranteed and where necessary alternative arrangements may be provided.
Once the college has completed its obligation to the student, it is the responsibility of the student and the homestay provider to agree on payment method, frequency and amounts. The relationship between the student and the homestay provider is contractual under English Law and the college is not privy to the agreement.
Homestay providers are carefully selected by the college's Accommodation Officer and are bound by the codes of practice for homestay providers.
The college can also arrange room only, off-campus self-catering residential, bed and breakfast, hotel and guest house accommodation.
Airport Transfers
Students that require this service will be greeted on arrival to the UK and taken to their homestay provider or other accommodation arranged. The section on Airport Transfers on the college's application for enrolment form must be completed. Flight details must be notified to the college's Administration Office at least 14 days prior to arrival. Payment for this service is required to be made at the same time of course application, or 14 days prior to arrival, otherwise no booking will be made. Once the booking has been confirmed by the college no refund is payable.
Others Charges
The college will be entitled to charge a student for any costs it incurs on behalf of that student.
Cancellations
Should the situation arise for whatever reason, the following charges will apply:- No refund will be given where cancellation is made before, on or after the course commencement date.
- No refunds will be made where the college's facilities are used to obtain travel permits or visas.
- International students that have been issued visa support letters but have not been successful in obtaining a visa to the United Kingdom will be entitled to a refund of course fees less the course deposit, on receipt of a copy of the official visa refusal letter by the relevant overseas British mission within 4 weeks from the visa refusal decision date.
- A course deposit constitutes an administration and registration fee and an initial course deposit. The course deposit is non-refundable and or non-transferable under any circumstances.
- Should Alpha Meridian Colleges Limited accept your registration but become unable to offer your chosen course or a suitable alternative, the initial course deposit will be refunded together with any course fees paid.
- Accommodation deposits and airport transfer fees are not refundable or transferrable, unless (e) above applies).
Notice of cancellation applies only from the date on which Alpha Meridian Colleges Limited received the written notice. Notification must be made in writing directly for the attention of the College Registrar at: Alpha Meridian Colleges Limited Meridian House Greenwich High Road London SE10 8RT England.
Withdrawals
Should a student decide to withdraw early from his course, Alpha Meridian Colleges Limited terms and conditions apply and no refunds can be made. Student's that decide not to attend lesson(s) or withdraw from a particular subject/module or paper do so at their own initiative and will not be entitled to any refund.
Deferrals
Deferrals are not permitted. However, in exceptional circumstances, should Alpha Meridian Colleges Limited agree upon a deferral of your start date, the deferral start date must be taken within 12 months of the original start date. Notice of request of deferral must be made in writing to the Registrar of Alpha Meridian Colleges Limited. If you have been granted a student visa you may not defer your start date. No deposits or payments are refundable.
Late Arrivals
No refunds will be made for any student arriving late for their course.
Refunds
Any refund payable will be made to the person that made payment of fees (the original payer) to Alpha Meridian Colleges Limited, unless written authorisation is provided by that person for an alternative arrangement to be made. Any refund is at the discretion of Alpha Meridian Colleges Limited.
Insurances
Students are advised to obtain insurance cover for their travel and stay in the United Kingdom. Prior to arrival in the United Kingdom, students are also advised to arrange for personal insurance to cover any unforeseen course cancellation or withdrawal.
College Rules
The college reserves the right to change or vary lesson start and end times, break times, timetables or subject to reasonable notice withdraw any module, subject or paper and or cancel courses where it is not viable or feasible to continue to run. Where relevant a pro-rata refund of course fee or an alternative module, subject, paper or course will be offered.Alpha Meridian Colleges Limited reserves the right to change and or replace tutors, trainers, lecturers, teaching staff and non-teaching staff as and when it deems fit and proper to do so taking into consideration the operational requirements of the college.
Alpha Meridian Colleges Limited reserves the right to suspend, exclude or expel a student where their conduct or behaviour is disruptive or inappropriate.
If it is established that a student has been dishonest, discourteous or conducted themselves in a manner that is inconsistent with the respect required by the college and the presence of the student is not conducive to the good reputation and expected standards of the college, staff and or other fellow students, that student will be asked to leave the college.
Students are required to attend classes regularly on time during the period for which they have enrolled and are required to comply with the college's rules and regulations.
The college also reserves the right to ask a student to leave if their attendance and or punctuality is unsatisfactory and or their financial obligations to the school have not been discharged. The college reserves the right to require a student to cease their studies and leave their course without a refund.
The college reserves the right to inform the Border and Immigration Agency (UK) if a student has failed to satisfy the college's attendance, fee or other requirements. Students that wish to extend their visas must pay their course fees in full before the college can issue a letter of enrolment, attendance or progress (including examination results) to support their visa application.
Students are responsible for the registration and payment of their examination fees and are expected to, where relevant, successfully attain pass grades or above for each examination paper taken. If a student is not making satisfactory progress on their course or examinations the college reserves the right to cancel their place on the course and offer them a refund on a pro-rata basis.
The college does not permit students to transfer courses, modules, subjects or papers between themselves.
Tuition fees will be increased from time to time as to satisfy operational and academic demands and the objectives of the college.
Personal property belonging to students is their responsibility while on the college premises and students should ensure that they do not leave valuables exposed.
